Chariot with two horses and charioteer
Burnished and decorated bronze
cm 18x29x12
Signed on the base, along the side profile: B. Boschetti, Rome.
Taken from the great Roman marble group of the 1st century d.c. preserved in the Vatican museums in the room called "of the charriot". The sculpture of Boschetti (Rome 1820- 1870) is distinguished by the presence of a young charioteer and the absence of the supports placed under the figure of horse, necessary for the original marble.
