Saintin Jules Emile Running an errand per sito

 

Jules Emile Saintin (Lemé 1829 - Paris 1894) was a specialist in the pictorial representation of the contemporary clothes of his time, especially the female ones (among them the portrait of Princess Mathilda Bonaparte).

In 1854 he left for America and studied Native American clothing. His works were exhibited at the Boston Atheneum, Columbia Exposition, Chicago World (portrayed Vice President John C. Breckinridge).
